What are Product Groups?
Product Groups cluster SKUs so rules can be defined at the group level instead of per SKU.
Grouping is primarily based on dimensions, weight, and product similarity, with AI support.
When new SKUs match an existing group's dimensions, they are added automatically, however you remain in full control and can review or adjust groups at any time.
Can I edit Product Groups?
Yes. You can:
- Rename groups
- Move SKUs between groups
- Create new groups
Groups should reflect how packaging decisions are made.
Should every SKU be in a Product Group?
Yes. Each SKU belongs to exactly one Product Group.
What does “Mark as negligible” mean?
Negligible items (e.g., flyers, inserts, small testers):
- Are excluded from the packaging rule logic
- Do not require separate rules
This prevents rule duplication and unnecessary complexity.
Why do my groups look incorrect?
If SKU dimensions or weights are inaccurate, grouping may not behave as expected.
If something looks wrong:
- Verify SKU measurements.
- Adjust group membership manually if needed.
- Contact Hive if measurements appear incorrect.
