Our goal is to ensure that all orders reach your customers in perfect condition, so we make every effort to pack your orders diligently and in accordance with your packaging guidelines as well as the carrier’s.
There are rare cases where an order may not arrive to your customer in the best condition. Along with weather conditions on the day of delivery and carrier mishandling, listed below are some other possible reasons why the order was damaged:
-
Heat Impact on Materials:
-
Exposure to heat can cause plastic to expand, potentially affecting the packaging.
-
Glue Susceptibility: Elevated temperatures can lead to the unsticking of adhesive materials like glue, compromising the structure of the packaging.
-
-
Sustainable Plastic Challenges:
- Sustainable plastic, while eco-friendly, is often thin and more prone to tearing.
-
Glass Fragility:
- Glass items, regardless of thickness, are inherently fragile and susceptible to breakage.
-
Lid Concerns:
- Foil lids are susceptible to breakage, and plastic lids may pop off without proper securing/sealing.
-
Packing Heavy Items:
- Heavy products packed tightly can not only damage other items within the package but may also lead to self-damage.
-
Dent-Prone Items:
- Items such as books, wood, and paper are prone to denting during transit. Thinner products, in particular, may be more susceptible to denting.
-
Electronics Handling:
- Electronics are not tested within our fulfillment centers. If an electronic item fails to function upon reaching the customer, it likely had pre-existing issues from the supplier.
-
Optimal Box Packing:
- Attempting to fit items into the smallest possible box without the use of packing material increases the risk of breakage or denting during transit. Adequate packing paper should be used to safeguard items.
We recommend a thorough review of your products, packaging guidelines, and/or a discussion with your supplier. Effective packaging guidelines, durable SKU material, and communication with suppliers can contribute to minimizing the likelihood of damages.
