'Add-on rules' is a feature in the Hive App that allows you to set up rules and conditions that automatically add additional items such as flyers, stickers, or free products to orders. We offer two types of add-on rules: with and without conditions.
Add-on rules without conditions allow you to add flyers or SKUs to all your orders. For example, add a "thank you for the purchase" flyer to each order.
Add-on rules with conditions allow you to add flyers or SKUs to all orders that fall under the category of your conditions once activated. You can add conditions to add-on rules based on guidelines, such as customers from a specific country can receive a country-related flyer.
Setting up your add-on rules
To create a new add-on rule, open the "add-on rules
" tab on the left side of your Hive App.
In the top right corner of the page, click on "+ New add-on rule"
. Two boxes will appear: the left for the add-on rules without conditions and the right for the add-on rules with conditions.

Once you complete the add-on rule set-up click "Go to final step ->

- Apply the rule to all B2B orders only, to all B2C orders only, or all B2B and B2C orders.
- Apply the rule to every shipment or every order.
Some orders, for example, can be split into several parcels if they are too large for one shipping box. This allows you to decide whether to apply the rule to the entire order or each parcel. - Decide to ignore the rule or to block fulfillment if the flyer or SKU selected for the rule is out of stock. If you decide to block fulfillment, this will impact the cost of the rule.
