Important elements about de-kitting
- Source SKU: The SKUs that need to be de-kitted
- Quantity: The number of units of the source SKUs that need to be de-kitted into the component SKUs
- Component SKUs: All SKUs that make up the parts of the kit (aka “child SKUs”) so we know where to restock the individual components
- Included: outer packaging SKUs (boxes, stickers, etc.), flyers, barcodes
- Instructions: Clear step-by-step instructions to avoid any potential for interpretation
