When a freight shipment you booked with Hive is delivered, we create and send two separate invoices. A freight invoice that includes the known freight charges (i.e. transportation and administrative costs) and a customs invoice in which the total customs & duties (import duties + import VAT) amount is shown.
The reason behind this is twofold:
1)The standard freight costs are imposed by the forwarder and are part of our initial offer.
2) The customs & duties are imposed by the customs/tax authorities, and part of them(import VAT) can be claimed back by companies.
