Ensure efficient and accurate restocking by packing shipments correctly. Refer to the packing requirements outlined in this article for guidance.
- Please only send us single SKU boxes (not mixed). This means that each box should only contain one SKU
- For example, if you send us 100 green and 100 red hats, they should be sent in two separate boxes.
- If your products are small and sending each SKU in an individual box seems impractical, you have the option to sen a larger outer carton containing smaller boxes or plastic bags inside. Each small box or plastic bag should exclusively contain a single SKU, accompanied by a label indicating the SKU and the quantity within that specific package.
- Please add the following labels to every box or pallet that you send us:
- Restocking Shipment number: this label can be printed directly in the Hive App.
- This is only necessary for loose boxes and pallets. You do not need to put it on every box on a pallet.
- SKU: the SKU packed in the box (only 1 SKU per carton)
- SKU barcode: can also be used instead of SKU names/numbers
- Quantity: the quantity packed in the box
- For small single parcel size restocking shipments for which no restocking shipment label can be attached, please follow these steps to ensure we can identify them:
- Create the restocking shipment in the Hive App.
- Add ‘Hive Technologies GmbH ℅ Your_Brand_Name RS XYZ’ as the addressee. Replace XYZ with the restocking shipment number you created.
- Add the following information on the Hive App: tracking code, carrier/courier name, and estimated arrival date.
- For small single parcel size restocking shipments for which no restocking shipment label can be attached, please follow these steps to ensure we can identify them:
- Restocking Shipment number: this label can be printed directly in the Hive App.
- Please adhere to the following pallet requirements:
- max kg per pallet: up to 1,000kg
- max height: 1.8m
- Stacked pallets are not accepted.
- Please add a packing Slip/Delivery Note to your shipments:
- The packing slip serves as a confirmation of what we received versus what has been announced.
- By adding a packing slip/delivery note to the shipment, we can cross-check against it to verify if there are any discrepancies.
- It can also serve as a reference for your supplier.
💡 Best Practices
-
Heavy Pallets:
- When transporting heavy pallets, place the heavy boxes at the bottom to prevent damage to the rest of the inventory. This arrangement ensures that the weight of the heavy cartons doesn't compromise the items below.
-
Side Unloading:
- Please note that side unloading is not available in any of our fulfillment centers.
-
Announcement of Shipments:
- If a shipment arrives unannounced, restocking will not commence within 48 hours. Restocking will begin once the shipment is officially announced.
-
Full Restocking Area:
- In the event that our restocking area is at full capacity and an unannounced shipment arrives, we reserve the right to reject the shipment.
-
Extra Task Charges:
- Any additional labor required due to deviations from the above guidelines will incur charges at the extra task rate specified in your contract.
-
Shipping Instructions:
- Ship your goods Delivered Duties Paid (DDP) to Hive to ensure no customs duties need to be paid upon arrival. If you choose Delivered at Place (DAP), ensure that invoices for customs duties and fees are sent to you, not to Hive. In case Hive receives such invoices, they will be forwarded to you for payment, along with an administration fee.
- Pallet exchange is mandatory:
- If your Restocking Shipment is packed on a pallet, it must be packed on an "A" condition Euro pallet for exchange.
